Input Connector Pinout?

I cut a Neptune 8 pin serial connector cable to use as Input Connector for my ACIII Pro per Curt's recommendation.

Here are the wire to pin map:

Pin 1 -> Brown
Pin 2 -> Red
Pin 3 -> Orange
Pin 4 -> Yellow
Pin 5 -> Green
Pin 6 -> Not connected
Pin 7 -> Black
Pin 8 -> Yellow

Per ACIII Pro user manual, pins 1 to 4 are the connector for the 4 switched inputs and pin 8 is the ground to trigger the switches.

I checked pin 4 and pin 8 continuity few times and is pretty sure both are connected to the yellow wire. The Serial Connector Pinout diagram from the user's manual also shows pin 4 is used as a ground.

Does anyone know if the pin to wire color I found are correct and what should be the right wire for switch #4?

I am using SW1 for top off solenoid On, SW2 for top off solenoid OFF, SW3 for sump high level warning and SW4 to connect a Water Bug(floor flood buzzer) if I can find the wire to connect it.

Are you going to the frag swap?

I am going. Trying to get out of the house now. I had to make a deal to take Liz shopping in the city too, so I will be in and out, but hopefully there for the entire auction.

Let's make sure we find each other. Brings me a few "bags" :)

Yes, the serial cable does have those two pins shorted together, so it does not work for the I/O connector. You want the MINIDIN8CABLE to hook up to the I/O port; all the wires are independent. The I/O cable color code is:

Pin 1 - Brown - Input #1
Pin 2 - Black - Input #2
Pin 3 - Red - Input #3
Pin 4 - Orange - Input #4
Pin 5 - Yellow - Reserved
Pin 6 - Green - Reserved
Pin 7 - Blue - Reserved
Pin 8 - White - Ground

Sorry about the delay in responding; this one slipped by. No, that cable will not work as it doesn't have all the wire connections. You want MINIDIN8CABLE. I think our website is the only place you can get it online (click order, and then probes).
