Input on stocking my 210

So I have had my 210 running for about 6 months and have been slowly stocking it. But now that my water paramiters have been good for awhile now, I want to do a bit more with it as I am confident in the tank is stable.

I currently have:
2 Chromis (remains of the cycling fish)
1 Desjardini Sailfin (about 3-4'')
2 Oc Clowns
1 Watchman gobie/pistol
1 Mystery Wrasse

I like getting my fish from my LFS as he has great stock and has been very helpful in getting the tank going. I was planning on adding 4-5 Bartlett's Anthias but he said he is not really seeing any in stock at his wholesalers but will keep looking.

But for right now after talking he is saying to add maybe 3 more tangs and do it at once. What he recommends is a Chevron, Naso, & Powder Blue. He currently has a small chevron about 4'' and can get the Naso and PB in short order if I wanted to.

What do you think about adding these 3 tangs to the tank. I do know the powder blues can get a bit territorial will this be a problem for future stocking of the tank if he is added now?

Thanks for the help

Personally, I would not add a PBlue for that reason. I have a PBrown and though he is much better than a PBlue, he still thinks he runs the tank and he was the last one added. I like Chevrons and Blonde Nasos though, so they would be on my list.

The powder blue might limit what you can add in the future and the tank isn't big enough for a naso species. When your LFS suggested you add 3 more tangs to a tank with a tang, I hope they suggested you qt the newbies.

the LFS QT's all fish they get in, and if I do get 3 tangs I would ask that he house them in the same tank for a week so if something does go wrong it will happen there.

I dont think a Naso would be much of a stretch in the tank as I think a 6' tank is plenty of room for him even when he gets large. A few years down the line when he is full grown and if the tank does not seem to fit him well I can always sell him/give him to someone else with a larger tank.

Sorry but that's not correct, your tank is no where near large enough for a naso, especially down the road. I don't know your LFS or their QT procedures but I wont not trust it if you want to play it safe. I'm sure all the fish will be in the same water, sharing diseases. I think 4-5 Bartlett anthias would make a great display. Chevron tang will work nicely too, keep in mind they don't keep those bright orange/red juvi colors forever. A PBT would work IMO as your last tang, and added that way, last, due to aggression.

well what if I switched the Naso over to a blue hippo. and went Hippo/chevron/PBT. If the PBT is added with the group, will it still show the agressivness or will it be alright since its added with the group.

id vote for the hippo over a naso, i really like the hippos. i have not experiance nor do i know anythign about PBT sorry.

Hippos can be prettyal aggressive too, both are very prone to ich. I'd add the chevron first. Then depending on size with the other two, more less the powder blue last. I wouldn't add all 3 at the same time.

hmmm thought the hippos were on the calmer side similar to a Naso, that blows. Im thinking about skipping the PBT all together as I would like to keep the tank pretty peaceful.
