Insane flow upgrade, for free!!!

I've been contemplating doing this change for a while, tonight with the help of some tie wraps, I was able to hang the MJ mods from my Sea Swirls and have them rotate in a fan motion randomly, this has produced one of the best flows I've seen in this tank, as the sea swirls rotate left to right they make the power head flow spread for a few seconds in 90 degree angle.
I also resolved the issue with these PH's sucking air from the surface because now they are a few inches lower than before.

There nothing better than cheap flow. I'm wondering if the extra torque and weight on the Seaswirls may kill them?

I've seen other people do it, but have never bother to ask about the long term reliability of them.

I also thought about that, I bet that it will have an impact on the sea swirls, I guess time will tell. so far they survived the night and no major shifting of sand but the whole sand bed looks very clean.

Actually, you can find them used on RC for good price usually around $100 ea.

Yea Rogger, I thought it was great before you had the fish crash. It looks now like it's grown back 300%. Like the economy under McCain zing. lol. It's so difficult making decisions while being a moderate....

I've got to come by to 1. see the tank, 2. pick up some algae free mods, and 3. see if the other shipment came in

BTW it's nice seeing butterflies in your tank. I remember we had the discussion about your friend's tank how he's got all the butterflies and angels, and still gets insane growth.
