inside the cabinet question

In my stand it is time to decide how I am positioning the guts. My setup has a 40 sump/ref. l to r skimmer to fuge to return pump.
Question: can all of the component draw from and feed back to the return

I'm not sure I understand the question.

The ATO reservoir tank will be located next to the return chamber. I am thinking about splitting the components out some instead of everything in the return chamber and placing some in the ATO reserve so it's no so crowded

The GFO can't be in the ATO reservoir since it needs to treat tank water, not clean ATO water.

The doser could be in the ATO reservoir but I'm not sure how accurate it would be since it would be completely dependent on evaporation rates.

I was wondering about the doser placement location. Return chamber is better then.
Can you think of anything that normally works better when located before the skimmer chamber, where in my case is where the drain is?

If you put things in your return chamber it will reduce the amount of water volume in that section. The problem that could arise is that with less water volume, if there is an ATO failure, your return chamber will run dry that much faster.

If you're just talking about placement, and your reactors will still draw water from the main section, then you could put them in the ATO section, but the drawback there is that it will reduce the available volume of fresh water and you'll have to refill it that much more often.

For dosing, the return chamber is ok to dose into. As long as there is good flow it should be good.

The ATO pump should be fine. I am home most always and will be the main filler upper.
So the ato system will need to work only if I don't. Any water that is removed from the pump chamber will be returned to the same chamber with the exception for the tank return.
Thank you for looking in

Ahh i though you meant actually putting the reactors in there..if your just talking about pumps it shouldn't be an issue.

Inside the stand. I hope this will contain the stuff to help make this tank work. Getting on to the plumbing now if the gate valves get here

In my stump which is set up the same as yours, I have the skimmer, sock, and biopellet reactor in the first section. In the middle I have my fuge, GFO reactor feed and return lines, heater, and ato feed, and probes, in the last i have my return pump and ato sensors.

Where is the ato supply situated? Do you plan to do a doser?

You know I forgot. I have the dosers, two part, going into the return section. I had an acyrlic box made at work for the ato supply. It is about 5 gallons and I have to fill it every 5 days or so. I have a lot of stuff under the 75. I am moving into a new house in the next few months and finally going to have a fish room. I am going to use the present sump for the equipment and getting a rubbermaid 100 gallon tub for the fuge.

for mine..

Skimmer section: Skimmer, GFO reactor (using return pump), Carbon reactor (using return pump), Heater
Fuge: rocks, clip on light
Return: ATO sensor (controls the height of return section water), 2 part dosing return lines x3

I run the returns from GFO and Carbon reactors back into the skimmer section.

I prefer jamming as much as I can in the skimmer section. Leave the return as clean as possible.

So theoretically at least, it is possible that some of your water is getting fuged to death.:fun2:
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
I was going to run it that with my GFO/carbon but instead of teeing off the return, I am considering using the Cobalt pump that came with it
