Inside the Reef Aquarium

Hey all,

I am planning to install a 1080p IP camera inside my reef.
The camera I am installing is made by a company called Avigilon.
The camera is rated for IP66, so I cannot fully emerge the unit into the salt water. Only the dome containing the lens will be underwater.
I will post videos once it's up and running.
Has anyone else done this on their reef?

Never seen it before, Bill. Sounds interesting to me though.

I have a go pro, but I also have a server with TB's of data.
This way I can record for weeks. Even do time lapse.
The GoPro can only record for 80 minutes max. Even though it's 12MP.

That's cool Joe!
I'm planning on using this camera.

This is cool, the only thing I would make sure it that the camera can focus at close range.

So the camera has a fixed lens, I want to use vari-focal, but they're so bulky.
Anyway, I did a test with a he camera underwater. It did not look good. It was totally blurry. I got a better shot with the cam over the water.
I'll have to see what went wrong later...
