what's everyone's opinion on this skimmer?

I had one when I first started that I bought used for dirt cheap. I did a few mods like mesh mod, cut the tube down in the body etc. and it finally did ok. I bought another skimmer a few months later and haven't looked back. I would just have to constantly adjust and it didn't pull that much compared to other skimmers.

I ended up buying an eshopps skimmer and its been great for me but there are better options out there. The Eshopps has worked great for me and I couldn't be happier. Both me and the corals.

I had one before finding this site. They are pretty much trash I did every mod possible, and it still sucked! I'd do like these guys said and save for a Reef Octo or something!!

They are garbage, and extremely overrated, It might do oK on a 10 or 20 gallon tank.

absolute junk. So many choices for good skimmers out there. Go needle wheel if you can (euroreef, octopus, precision marine, etc). Do not waste your time with the seaclone...
