I just wanted to share an amusing anecdote...
About a month ago we set up a seperate tank (20L) from our main when our Occ and Tomato started to fight. Since then we paired our Occ up with a friend and they are doing great in the main DT.
Our Tom has had his own 20L FOWLR for a while now. Recently we added in a 2 1/2 inch Bangai Cardinal rescued from the Main DT and placed in with the clown under protective custody.
We were at our LFS last night having a gift certificate to spend... since our main DT is pretty much at its limit for load, we decided to get a small tomato for the clown tank in hopes of them pairing up. We introduced him to our big girl and aside from the expected wiggling and chasing, they did well. They slept together in the flower pot last night.
This morning I was up feeding them. Feeding time is always a big time around here. We have 2 small kids who love Seaworld and insist that someday I need to get Shamu in our DT. So we're all hanging out and my wife says "I wonder if these clowns will host an anemonae"?. Just then, the new little Tom comes shooting out of the flower pot, rips a piece of diced shrimp out of the Bangai's mouth, jets back to the flower pot and spends the next 5 minutes trying to cram the shrimp chunk through the tiny hole in the bottom of the pot like it was the mouth of the nem.
Yeah... I think they will host a BTA just fine.
