Intercepter?

I have the same problem. Im gonna talk to a vet tomorrow and see if I can get them to sell me some.

A lugols dip seems to knock em down a little but they come back. Seems to relieve the coral a little though. I will let you know if the vet cooperates with my plans. I think im gonna try moving all sps to another tank for treatment. Red bugs are supposed to last only about 5 days or so without sps. I just have to figure out what to do about lighting them for that 5 day period.

Yeah, I can see them. They look like little red spots. If you watch closely you can see them move. The longer they are there the more they spread and become more and more noticeable. When I figure out exactly how to go about treatment I will post details here with Raul's permission and hopefully he will do the same. All I can say is it seems the need to be more and more careful with your additions is getting worse and worse. It sucks to have to put more money in preventing pests than in livestock, but lately it seems I have no choice. My one tank has turned into 3 now with a fish and coral QT running. I think my wife is going to kick me and my tanks out if this gets any worse. Just so everybody knows all my corals were dipped before addition to the DT and I still got red bugs. Be careful.

Most Vets will give you a prescription if you explain the treatment to them. Its out of parameters, but being you are using it on non food Reef tank, there is little liability/risk

I talked to my vet today and they were willing to help me out. I will probably start treatment this weekend if Im not out of town. As soon as I decide wether to treat the whole tank or go the QT route I will share my experience with all. Wish me luck.

She did ask me who my regular vet was. It probably helped a lot when I told her that she was. I even took some info for them to see, but they didn't even care to see it.
