Interceptor dosing question

I know that one large dog 51-100lb pill will treat 380-400 gallons of water. I need to know how many gallons one 11-25lb pill will treat. I also know that I need 25mg for every 10 gallons but i don't know how much each of the smaller pills weighs. Any help would be much appreciated.

I used 1 11-25 lb dog pill on my 40gallon. No ill effects. Remember to dose 2 of three times. One dose every 5 or so days. Pull your activated carbon during the dose and replace when the doses are all finishes. Also, run the skimmer but pull the air or it'll foam up and pull the meds out. You could also call your vet and ask him for some large pills. Mine sold me one to have just incase I have another outbreak. He was actually very interested in the whole thing. LOL

Just to be clear, I believe the large pill has 23mg of active ingredient (milbemycin oxime)and treats 380g, not 25mg for 10 gallons! You may be talking about the weight of the entire pill, not the amount of active ingredient contained therein.

Read the small pill box and note the number of milligrams of active ingredient. Then do the math. 23/380 = # mg active ingredient in small pill / x. Solve for x.

Good to do the research on dose requirments but one thing I also learned after dosing my MD was that the post apocalypse without pods will help algae bloom for a few weeks if you don't have a plan for extra nutrient removal. IMO. Sorry if off topic. :(
