Interceptor Questions

I recently noticed I have some redbugs on some of my acros, I am not sure how long I have had them...my 4 year old mandarin mysteriously died maybe a month ago and it might have been keeping them in check, or I got them with a recent purchase I made that I did not inspect well. I am not exactly sure. Anyway, I just ordered some interceptor spectrum and have a few questions...I have done several searches since I noticed the redbugs yesterday and could not find the answers to all of my concerns.

When I catch all of my hermits, how long do I need to leave them out after treatment before I put them back? Anybody have a trick to catching hermit crabs and shrimp, I was thinking about sort of inverted bottle trick over night.

Will my clams or carpet anemone be effected?

Will my pink feather duster be effected?

There is a few acro crabs that I can not get out of a colony, what are the chances they will survive?

I was planning on pulling a bunch of macro out of my refugium, then putting it back after treatment to attempt to maintain my pod population, does this sound ok?

Will this completely decimate my pod population, or do some survive the treatment?

My skimmer is external, how long and bad will this thing be flooding after treatment?

Yes ... glass, by the rocks, with a piece of shrimp inside [use egg crates to hold it down]

Nope they will make it.

50/50 ... but not much will survive the 3 treatments

No no. it might contain eggs or RB in different stages.

some survive, and population is build up over time again

no flooding. I dont notice any extra foaming after.

you can put the hermits and other crabs back in, after running GAC and skimmer on for a couple of hours ...

Definately catch crabs and shrimp if you can mine that I couldn't catch were ok on first treatment but slowly died after second one. It killed all my pods also but no more red bugs. Good luck.
