Interceptor Spectrum

I noticed a few red bugs the other night on my red dragon colony. The colony was on my frag rack with a hand full of acro frags.

The only acro with the red bugs was the red dragon. All others including the colonies growing on my reef were clear. I do have a colony that has recently lost color and has turned brown but I have not seen any bugs on it.

I found some Interceptor Spectrum online and ordered it. Its from a company in Australia. 10 day shipping. It allowed me to purchase 1 pill. I did some research and I guess this is the right stuff? Blue xl dogs?

Do you guys think a treatment is needed? Is it kinda like ich, if its in the tank even on one colony, treat the whole tank? Kinda like if 1 fish has it, you have treat all the fish?

My tank is a 125. Man this year has been a crazy year for me with different parasites, nudies, bubble algae invasions. I have been dong SW tanks for 10 years. In previous years never QT'd or dipped anything and had no real problems. This current tank, I have Qt'd all fish and dipped every coral and have had more problems than ever.
Thank gosh I QT'd all my fish because I would have had ich 5x in two years. What can you do. I have learned a great deal this year about the hobby.

Treat the whole tank. Remove snails, crab an shrimp, do a water change, and you're done with it. Pretty quick, simple and harmless. Good luck.

Seeing as you have a dog (and therefore hopefully a vet) you could have gotten Sentinel a lot faster and likely cheaper. Same stuff + an extra ingredient which is inert in SW tanks. Now you know, if the 1 pill isn't enough.

I did try that route, no one wants to perscribe it for the red bugs, if i say its for the dog then a check up is wanted and my vet doesnt carry it

I ordered from Joespetmeds, legit and fast delivery. You can also save a few bucks if you sign up for their e-mails (coupon code).

Interesting. I guess I could use my fish QT with the current fish being qt in it and place my acros in it also correct.

Wonder if this stuff would eliminate ich? Anyone tried it?

Unless you have shrimp, you can dose interceptor directly to your display and/or frag system without harming other creatures, so you may not have to move acros to different systems to treat them.

Does this affect pistol shrimp or reef lobster? I just noticed I had red bugs and went to my vet and get sentinel and I'm not going to be able to get these 2 out. Are they goners?
