exactly what all does interceptor kill? pods, featherdusters, clams, snails, shrimp. looks like i may have the bug and may have no choice but to treat the tank. just curious what people have left in their tanks while treating and what it killed or didnt kill

Wiped out my crab and pod population which caused a nasty cyano bloom everything else was o.k. Make sure you treat three times to get all the bugs and the eggs. Your sps will thank you.

well i can handle that as long as it saves my corals. not to many bugs, just a few but could turn out to be a lot if i dont getem. thanks for the reply.

It will take out your shrimp as well.
Basically any crustacean is at risk.

I've treated my tank twice and have never seen the cyano problem, just be sure to have a huge water change ready and lots of carbon.

I've pulled hermits ahead of the treatment, but there's the risk of taking the bugs out with the holding water, so that a risk you need to decide upon.

i only have about 10 hermits. im more worried about my cleaner shrimp. any idea how to get them out? any ideas on a trap?

Yeah, just got finished treating with interceptor and sure enough a week later nice red fuzz all over. What did you end up doing to treat the cyano? In the past I've used erythromycin which seems to work real well but I'm not a fan of drugging the heck out of my tank. Any other suggestions?
