interest check....reeftopia group buy

Personally, I would go for a mixture of ceriths, golden astreas (absolutely awesome price), and nassarius vibex with an emerald crab or two and maybe a peppermint shrimp or two.

As far as numbers, maybe 50 astrea, 30 nassarius, and 20 ceriths or so would be good I would think.

Just my $0.02, though. :)

Forgot to mention, you can get some hermits, too, if you want, but they're definitely not "required" and will always eat each other, but they're cheap from reeftopia, so I figure a few could never hurt. :)

WOW, I have a 55 and don't have nearly that many snails. I am in for a buy but do you really need that many? currently have 6 narsarrius, 3 tonga narssarius, 1 margarita, and 1 tribanded hermit with a fire shrimp. I wanted to get a couple peps, and some certh but was totally not thinking of ordering 100 snails, but should I? could a lack of snails be leading to my rust colored sand alge buildup?

Destiny and I have be out of pocket for awhile ! We have let things get a little out of control. HAIR ALGE in both tanks. I have pulled and got a lawnmower blemmy! It seems the more he eats the more it grows. My clean up crew have about disappeared. Will the lettuce nudibranch help and what kind of snail , hermit crab would be best? Thanks for any information!

Lettuce slugs, in my experience, do not eat a whole lot of algae and tend to find pump intakes very easily. They are neat, but perhaps not the best critters in this application.

yea, for astrea snails (unless its the bigger turbos)....i usually put 1 per gallon....nassarius usually 1 for 2/3 gallons....and just a handful of ceriths because they guys reproduce a lot and you have more than you need soon enough.....and hermits IMO really depends on how much you want....they do great with cleaning up the rocks, but i dont want to keep to much around just because they'll kill my nass snails for their shells

I'd like some snails and crabs..

50 nass vibex
1 dozen turbos
10 virgin nerite
1 sally lightfoot
1 corky seafinger

John, I'll go in again- prob need quite a bit of stuff, wouldn't mind splitting some lots with folks again... Chuck (been offline for a while)

How did them star snails work for you Nashvegas? They are kinda high but cool looking.

Steve ordered some last year, too. Any thoughts, Steve? Any of your 5 still alive? I think its cool they can flip themselves over. :)
