Interest in float switch group buy?

Kevin,

I would need to know the current rating of the switch before I could say if I was interested.

0.17 amps @ 120VAC. This thing is rated for 20 watts @120 VAC. Also note that these do not have the nylon nuts.

Here is an email I got from Aquahub.

"Hi There,

Was reading your comments on a thread at the end of Jan. You actually quoted my
website - aquahub.com.

Couple things - you mention putting together a talk on electrical safety with
aquariums. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know.
Also, appreciate you referencing our piece on spiking voltage and using relays
with float switches. Do you have any comments or suggestions on that content?

Any comments or suggestions in general about the information on our site?

Thanks very much,

Patrick, Aquahub.com"

These are $24.47 on the McMaster-Carr website. At close to $5 ea this is a deal! I'm buying a few even if nobody else does... Who wants in? I'm putting in my request at 10pm pst this evening before this guy runs out...

I will post more information tonight.

My ATO is 100% 12V DC. My RODI system has a back pressure shut off. I have a 12V solenoid in the garage near the RODI unit, and 1/4 tubing running through the attic into the room that the tank will be in. I have 2 float valves in my sump to to control the feed to the solenoid. One float is a min depth on and the other is a max depth off.

Turns out he's got close to a thousand of these (per PM) and it looks like he's got commitments for 50 or so at this point. I'm going to hold my order at least until the weekend to allow time for MARS to digest.

Standing by...
