Hi Hi,
My name is lyz. I've been a freshwater keeper for about 15 years and am looking to venture into a saltwater reef system. I heard about this society through the AFI magazine. I am currently gathering as much information and reading as I can about reef aquariums and appropriate fish inhabitants. I would like to attend the February 2012 meeting if possible. I heard about the club and am interested in becoming a member.
A little bit about myself: I have worked in various research fields associated with human behavior. Most recently I have been doing program evaluation for non-profit organizations (evaluating behavior modification programs for effectiveness and making recommendations for positive outcomes). But due to the economy, I will most likely be returning to school for a doctorate degree in either program evaluation or clinical psychology. I am also interested in keeping a bimac octopus (obviously not in the same tank as my reef).
