That would be rather unlikely, especially in Michigan where he was (is?). Maybe on the greased mudslide slopes of California you could get it to slide.

Around here (Vermont mountains) the ledge is just inches to feet down so I'm not terribly worried about sliding - BUT I still like digging into and anchoring to the ledge. Just call me paranoid. :)

I just found this thread by Mr.4000 (Mr.4000 is back ) and am reading it with great fascination. Even if I weren't planning a large tank it is great reading.

Hopefully I will learn more there about what did happen. Sounds like the humidity was the big killer. Word to the wise - may we all learn from his experience. Even on my 50's I have glass covers to keep down the evaporation, although with our wood heat in the winter a little (or lot) of moisture would be rather beneficial. :)
