Interesting achilles tang eye coloration

Recty, your powder blue doesn't change eye color? My powder blue's eyes can go from pure white to jet black depending on mood. Doesn't happen often, but it happens.

My powder brown doesn't change his eye color, but gets those vertical white bands when my hand is in the tank.

I didn't know that powder blues did it too, but that's neat. My Achilles does it of course, but my Tomini tang also used to do it. His eyes turned a lighter shade of blue though, more like sky blue. The blue eyes only come out on my Achilles for any length of time when I've added a new fish large enough that he feels the need to show his dominance. Otherwise I just catch a flash of it now and then; blink and it's gone.

I can confirm that when the Achilles tang is mad he can change his eye color into blue. Mine does it all the time when he gets mad at other tangs or spaz at his reflection. He also has a blue tint to the edge of his fins as well like in the picture.

Here's a picture of an angry powder blue. The face and eyes turn black.

My yellow tang would lay on top of my niger trigger and it's eyes would turn black as well.
