Interesting fish

[Huhhhhh]

I went to clean the glass tonight and noticed the pipe fish pecking at the glass. I stopped and watched for a while and saw he was eating little white specks that were in the greenish tint layer of the algae that grows on the glass. I got out the magnifying glass and took a closer look and discovered that my tiger pod population is doing quite well since the glass was covered with them. If they can get to the glass in the algae that grow's on it in a couple of days they should be in the rocks and sand in even a higher quantity I think.

That makes me happy.

Now, to clean or not to clean the glass, that is the question.

I would not clean all the glass for a day or 2 I have 1 sied of the tank i dont clean the glass just for the tiger pod's i can see them in the frag tank they are what i got from you in that sump I cant see them in the reff yet bot I know they are there i put some in the fuge with the water that was in that sump.

It's possible, but the thing is any coral I buy online comes in stressed and loses some zooanthellae when shipped. So they take time to recover and look good again. Also RM uses 20K 1000 watt bulbs, thats going to make a big difference in the way corals look. I am upgrading my lights to these same bulbs and so we'll see how the corals look. I think they are just excellent photographers, and topdown shots always look way better than when you view a coral through the glass also remember.

hmmmmmm I haven't seen that thread, I was just responding to the post in this thread about reefer madness.
Anyway, that pipefish is very cool, I may put one in the 10, I think with no other fish and a fairly calm environment that tank may be a good match for a pipefish
