For intestinal protozoan infections, metronidazole may be effective. If the fish is feeding, soaking the food may be helpful. Metronidazole can be added to the water of a treatment tank. Metronidazole is available as Hex-A-Mit and Metronidazole.

Have you tried a variety of frozen foods soaked in garlic? That might help. Best bet is to remove the fish, place in a hospital tank, and begin treating immediately for the gut worms. Use the medication in both your water and soak it in the food if you can get him to eat.
i have the same stringy poo with my two clownfish. Both are wild caught and this infection is very very contagious. I have used both prazipro and metro+ neither seem to work. I have resorted to force feeding as i have lost one of the two due to starvation. I have plenty of experience with fish and i have never seen anything like this. It seemed to go away, but came back quickly.
Posting for an update on your clowns as i saw this thread when i did a search...i have a clown who won't eat, and i have seen the white stool...looks great, swims great...just not eating like it was in the beginning.

I would be interested to learn how you force feed. I've had non-eating fish with internal parasite before and metro+prazi+acriflavine in the water did nothing.
