Sorry; we're into TLA's at VZ. (Three or Two Letter Acronyms at Verizon).
It's like some strange, cryptic language. CO means Central Office, or place all your phone calls are routed to, before they hit the big network.
Since you DSL comes from there, you'll get good speed until about the 90-95% threshold for distance from the office, after that we try to discourage selling it, because, well.. It ain't what it's cracked up to be. We actually limit sales over 85%, and they need to be "forced" in by an engineer for that reason.
But. Enough. Yeah, it's high-speed internet. Yeah it works as well as cable, but I STILL want FiOS. I don't think it's fair that I work there, and Kurt gets it. What the heck?
Who do I need to bribe in this joint?
Only good news is, TV's up in Orchard Park and Hamburg soon, very soon....
