Testes were done within 30 seconds of each other with router taken out of the loop, LOL.

what model router? have you tried a firmware update?

that is interesting mine was alot closer with the dl speeds than yours..but that is cool. you'd think it would be the other way around with RR trying to make there sh*tty service look better. lol...I hate TWC...atleast you guys have a choice comcast peeps...us down here in Bing, the city signed a contract that wont let any other cable company come it.

And VZ isn't exploring fiber deployment in Binghamton. You are, however, getting DSL equipment in to your CO's. My family near Yale by the Jail should be getting DSL soon...

I'm itching for FiOS; my side of Hamburg should be getting it in a few months, and I can't wait.. Now, once I get TV, then I'l really be able to tell TW what I think!
:)

If they delay me any longer, I'm going dish. I was wathcing the Leafs/Sabres game on CBC a few nights ago, and it kept losing color, and getting grainy... Not for $110/month..

Sorry; we're into TLA's at VZ. (Three or Two Letter Acronyms at Verizon).

It's like some strange, cryptic language. CO means Central Office, or place all your phone calls are routed to, before they hit the big network.

Since you DSL comes from there, you'll get good speed until about the 90-95% threshold for distance from the office, after that we try to discourage selling it, because, well.. It ain't what it's cracked up to be. We actually limit sales over 85%, and they need to be "forced" in by an engineer for that reason.

But. Enough. Yeah, it's high-speed internet. Yeah it works as well as cable, but I STILL want FiOS. I don't think it's fair that I work there, and Kurt gets it. What the heck?

Who do I need to bribe in this joint?

Only good news is, TV's up in Orchard Park and Hamburg soon, very soon....
