Interruptus Angelfish? Should I or Shouldn't I?

Hi all

I am considering purchasing a Interruptus Angelfish. I am redoing my current setup and would like to keep only 1 or 2 really exotic fish. I have been doing some research on the Interruptus and it seems to be one of the bigger Centropyge angels. I can pick one up between $800 - $ 1000.

Can someone share some of the experiences of there Interruptus and also some pics if possible?

Wow humaguy. Its a beaut! I am seriously considering getting it but wanted to add another rare fish with it but not sure. I wanted to add another pygmy at a later stage. I was hoping a Narcosis but the way pricing has jumped in the last year I am not so sure. $ 850 - $ 1000 is still a good price.

I would go as high as $ 3500 on a fish. Depending on how beautiful it is!

thank you...they are stunning fish and very hardy...those are 2 different fish and will be reunited in a month or so...

Oh yeah I remember you got 2 of them, they were fighting at one stage so you took them out then reintroduced them.

We have just redone our place so I have set up a 1.2m tank and am looking for to beautiful fish that wont fight in time.

no, these two have never been together- at least in my tank...I think you are thinking of Wayne....
I bought a tiny one in Nov at the same time a friend purchased a tiny one while visiting Japan...both were collected and sold at the same time and coincidentally ended up about 20 miles apart from each other in Connecticut...I got real lucky when my friend, "Tactics" in here, sold me his in March..
I will reunite them soon...

Bandits are beautiful and have the coolest personalities of just about any fish I have...including my triggers...they seem to be as fascinated by people as we are of them...they seek out divers and enjoy interacting with them and do they same whenever I am around my tanks...will eat from my fingers, brush against my arms and just fun to watch...really terrific fish...highly recommend them...

I really like the look of a Bandit and for $ 350 I would not mind paying for one. If I purchase one though would he not have a problem with my Interruptus?

Agreed, mine used to swim into my hand when I put in tank, I could pick it up no drama

I have both now...got one in dec- in the big tank fuge...
lol, a lot more than $350...bought the 2nd one from Tactics in march- still in 250 qt...so, since march I have had 2...
there are also 2 bandits in that tank...

she was kindly offered to me last week but she is 5 inches, too big for me...but a killer and beautiful fish that comes from kk's office tank (as does 1 of mine) and what is better than that...:thumbsup:...somebody should grab her quickly...

Wow two beautiful angels, I assume the goldflake will be available to dd soon.. two great opportunities for someone in search to put their collection over the top. The one in that tank seems as small as yours, missing the black trim
