CCA doesnt appaer on the local store listing? when the site first came out they were listed
sure they dont give any discounts to card holders(there prices are cheap already!)
but i dont get any discount from leighanne either so?

im just curious?

I think there is a button to push for COMAS sponsors and non-sponsors if I remember correctly.

When I asked CCA if they wished to be a sponsor or part of the club they said no, in fact they were very clear they wanted nothing to do with the club.

As regards Leighanne, she does weekly water changes on the tank at UCO as well as providing food for the fish that are in there and helped organize that venue for the club.

Yep I just checked just change the filter on the right from sponsors to "OKC other"

I think it is only right that sponsors show up first on the COMAS website. You can find other lfs if you check "okc other".

Josettes did not want to be involved with the club either. However, the site is designed to allow marine enthusiasts find the local stores not necessarily to help the stores advertise.

Both CCA and Josettes are listed in a non-sponsor section so that people can locate them.

i just now saw that

there prices are so cheap now they cant afford to give any discounts .....they wanted nothing to do with the club due to the fact on how they were approached about it in the very beginning........ long before the website had ever started to be worked on ...i just didnt want any "exclusions"

I asked them Charlie when I became President. The conversation had nothing to do with websites. If they would like to become sponsors or be involved with the club I would be happy to talk with them.

Were you referring to the conversation I had with the owners and about how I approached them? or was that before me.

well when some club members(not mentioning names) talked bad about there store on here and even talked customers out of sales while in there store i can understand where there coming from

just that i didnt want any local store not mentioned......if it wasnt for for CCA i would have ever gotten into this hobby

Yeah, I do a lot of coral purchases from CCA, just because they were the first place I found. They've always gave me good prices, and throw stuff in from time to time. Now that I've found all the other shops, due to this site, I've been shoping around.

I went in to CCA and they expressed the the exact view you stated above. At the time they had issues with club members the club was approx 10 people, most of them are no longer in the club anymore. I told them that would not happen again and at that time we began to institute the club"no bad mouthing policy". There were other reasons, but the CCA issue was foremost. I explained what other stores were doing and asked if they would carry fliers. I had some I had made. The owners still were not interested.

In the past I have asked you to ask them again, since you know them and I thought that any suggestion would be better from you since you saw how the club was going and how we have evolved as a group.

Do you think they would like to be involved in the club and maybe a sponsor of the club ?

I have bought stuff from them in the past, I remember them being about the only place you could get bulkheads. I have several SPS from them.

i have asked them a few times they got a "bad taste in there mouth" so to speak and still wernt really intrested .....

i guess a few bad apples can spoil the bunch!!!!

I was their last weekend and they allways have nice stuff and very resonable prices. to bad some people have made us out to be not very nice...they had a clam that made us so happy just looken at it ...It had to be the nicest we have seen..
