Introducing a perc w/ a GSMC resident

A friend had to break down and couldn't find a home for a small perc (about 1"). I have a 90 mixed reef about 1 year old with a GSMC about 4". She's quite large -a fat 4". She has 2 RBTAs that she hosts. After QT I introduced the perc last night after lights out. First light this AM the harassment started. She harassed the perc until he finally went to hide in the rock. She's harassed him but he looks no worse for the wear. So question is will she eventually get over it or do I have to move the perc to my refugium in my sump? I don't want to do that b/c sump's open top and I can't use any lid but maybe egg crate and the perc's small enough to jump through if it persists. In QT it spent all day at the surface, other hand, if the GSMC will just keep at him until he's dead I guess the fuge's his best shot. If consensus is that with time she'll get over it I'll leave him up there. I know clown lovers may think that's cruel but honestly I don't think the sump is a great option. I think that's kind of cruel. Ok. Please be gentle. Remember I'm tried to help a friend out

Maroons are a PITA...I'll never own 1 again! (as well as a 6 line wrasse)

He's already moved down. His find were a tad tattered so I assume it was necessary. So now I have to decide which fish the wife and kids prefer. Kids (naturally) demand Nemo and the wife has turned on the GSMC b/c of her inhospitable attitude...

Maroons are so pretty, yet so mean.
I definitely prefer percs, so that would be my choice between the two, and I would only keep one or the other.

Like was already said. You're probably going to have to choose between the two. Sometimes having different species actually works though. I'm not a fan of it personally, but some people are.

Simple solution: Set up another tank and put the perc in that one! :D

Me Three expcept it is my husband says no more tanks that I already have enough.. I only have 6 going right now and going for a slighty bigger tank and take down two tanks. Will just have to bring the tank in when he is not at home.... LOL

Those Maroon clowns are beautiful but very mean. Go for the Perc's (Nemo).

Considering Finding Nemo was released like 9 years ago, I would assume there's a good chance he's gone to fish heaven, especially all the risks that he takes. Hanging out with sharks, touching boats, and doing other crazy stuff probably isn't the best idea for any fish, but especially for one with a bum fin.
