introducing my 870gal tank (pics ahead)

Hi all,

I posted the last pictures more than half a year ago.
Maybe thats the right interval to show the actual development.
Last thing I did was replacing the old "Living Sand" to have a more clean/white look
and to remove old sediments. I did that in 4 portions, one per week.
Its dawn light in the pictures, T5 only. Later the day, HQI is added.

Your tank is an inspiration. I particularly like what you haven't done. You haven't packed in coral at 5 species per sq. ft... you haven't got 300 fish just because you can.

Your restraint makes the whole thing look very natural... I aspire to this level of sophistication.

Very, very nice work!

Thank you very much.

@Diablo
Each time I see the big, adult Siganus magnificus coming out of his cave,
I am glad, that a friend of mine kept me away from the even bigger Naso lituratus,
I initially planned to keep. :-)

From time to time I think about breaking a big hole in the reef somewhere to have a
deeper view. Maybe I'll to that in the next years... hmmmm...

All I can say is OUT of this WORLD...woooooow,
Even if I have the money to do this, I don't think my wife would ever agree dispite downsizing from a 300g, 120g is still too much for the her, how you manage to keep this, I have to give you tons of credit. Thanks, you keep our ocean dreams alive !

Thanks for your kind judgement.

Comparig the TOTM and the latest pics, the coral seem to like growing here ;-).

Ralf.

There's an understatement, if I ever heard one. ;) AMAZING tank and layout. It looks so natural.
