Hello everyone,

My name is Brian and am returning to the hobby after 10 long years being out. It is nice to still see several names here of people that were involved years ago like Nanook and Lance. I was once a semi active member of SEASL but i see that group has disminished.

Anyways, a little about me. I previously had a 5 ft 125 gal mixed reef, but that was years ago. I previously kept SPS and LPS, also had good success breeding my ocellaris clowns. Young kids and a move out of state caused me to get out for a while.

Currently I have two tanks getting started, a 30 gal Fully cycled QT and a 65 gal display with 20 gal sump. I run a 3 ft 6 bulb T5 fixture and running all equipment off the Digital aquatics Reefkeeper lite plus. At some point i would like to try the new triton method, well its new to me.

So, for what its worth, I hope to swap frags with other members once things get mature and grow out. Looking firward to meeting some new people at the upcoming frag swap and getting an active membership. I would like to volunteer but i am a single dad and have my kids that week so i would be kinda limited to the help i can give. Maybe sunday breakdown would be an option if needed.

It has been received.
The swap is kid friendly and you SHOULD come to the swap to at least put your member raffle ticket in to win the new Neptune Apex ($800 retail value kinda makes it worth a quick visit). You don't have to be present to win.
I may not be the Lance you are referring to from 10 years ago... 10 years ago I was still in high school keeping freshwater tanks. :lmao:
I am excited to meet you though.

Welcome glad to see someone come back to the hobby! Hope to meet you soon

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am looking forward to the swap. Will plan on coming on Sat with kids. It was actually my family trip with my two kids to the Florida Keys last summer that caused me to get bit by the reef bug again. I have been getting ramped up since November when i started seeing what old equipment still worked and building my custon tank stand.

I actually wanted to come to last week’s pizza night but seems the last few have been on weeks when i had the kids. I would have pizza be their dinner but strangely enough sometimes i question if they are my kids because both dislike pizza and i grew up on NY style pizza. Oh well, next time.
