Hello folks,

While I have my fish in my hospital tank I noticed these guys last night:

What are they? Are they bad or good? What to do in case they're bad?

Thank you!

Thank you oldhead!

Although, is it bad or not? How to get rid of it in case it's bad?

I have more (better pics):

The one I linked is good. If you are using the tap talk app use the medium size picture so it doesn't show up so large.

I have no idea. My reef is only one month old...
I've added copepods to it, the only thing I did intentionally...

Any more suggestions? By the way, I have a pair of cleaner shrimp...

Thank you!

Montipora eating nudibranch pictured. If so you will lose all your montipora. No way to stop them without killing the coral.

I had a couple of nudibranchs invade my old reef just like those, and they liked to feast on zoanthids. Luckily the rocks that had the zoas (and the pests on them) were small so I was able to take them out and dip them in some Coral RX treated water, which killed the nudibranchs. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply!

I have very small corals and I will buy Coral RX and dip them this weekend, hopefully they will still be alive until then... What a jerks these nudibranchs! :@

Should I dip the live rock as well?

Dip, then dip again later. It only kills adults so might take a few tries. At least that is what I found.

Hey Jekerry, for how long do you dip them? And how long after you dip it again?

I will deep my rocks as well, is there any problem with it?

Thank you!

I don’t think you want to dip all your rock. That will kill Good stuff as well. I’m not sure what the life cycle is for them. I did it twice about a week apart and so far so good, but I am watching for anything odd.

Hi do u get these guys out?

Hello!

Yes I *kinda* did. I've been waiting for them to attach to my corals and then I dip the corals in CoralRX. I've minimized their population from 100's to, maybe, 10?

:)
