Iodide vs. Iodine

I keep reading posts that talk about adding Iodine.

I have a bottle of Seachem's Reef Iodide for restoring and maintaing iodide levels and that iodine which is toxic as chlorine should never be used in a reef system and that Iodide is as safe as chloride.

So, are we saying Iodine when we really mean Iodide?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're on the right track. Actually I think IODINE is toxic to a reef tank.
