Do you mean Iodine? If so there is usually enough in the water mix when you do wc's. Unless you have an iodine test kit I wouldn't dose it.

Why do you ask about dosing Iodine?
 
Because last time i had a reef tank was around 2002 and then it was recommended to dose it for soft corals and Anemones,i used it then with no ill effect nor cant i say that i had seen any benefit using it. just curious.

But now i see many people are talking against it do to build up and poisoning.
 
Iodine is one of those elements that probably should be added. I'm not sure how important it is for anemones, but it is quite vital for shrimp and crab.
Water changes may or may not be sufficient to keep it at the right levels.
Like with many trace elements, you should only add what you can monitor as overdosing can do as much (if not more) harm as lack of it.
