Nice. I just used that dashcam page to pick a camera. Got it set up using the Dlink. It's shameful to think that in 2013 port forwarding and such nonsense still makes this so difficult for so many. But, once it's working, it is pretty nice.

Hi,
Is anyone using a camera with 720p or higher resolution than 640x480?

I am considering the Trendnet TV-IP572WI which has a resolution of 1280x800 and I can see that it is has been tested against Apex, but no mention whether it is with the 1280x800 resolution.

Anybody knows whether this resolution is supported? I do not have enough post-count to pm mids1999 (the person that listed this camera as compatible).

I'm using a Trendnet TV-IP672WI that is 1280x800. I just installed the camera last night but haven't set it up to work with the Apex yet.

Compared to other USB based webcams I've used in the past the picture is very good. The Infrared function also works very well. Does it look anywhere near "HD" not at all unfortunately, but it's also very affordable.
