Does anyone here have the programming skills to write in iPhone/iPod touch app to wirelessly/remotely control an AquaController? The market would be small but it would be amazing!

im already working on it :) Mind you my AquaController III is still on the way, so if anyone wants to help me get some info I can get a better head start on it :)

I've got the app ready, I just need the format of the telnet output for the various commands. If someone can paste them here, that would help a ton.

Add me on AIM, I PM'd you.

zigzag, I would love to beta test. I have an ACIII and AC Jr. I would also be interested in purchasing a well written app.

Can anyone telnet into an ACIII and type the "c" command and hit enter? Then copy and paste the output here.

Also the same for the "l" and "d" commands would help me get more done before my ACIII arrives (Dec 3rd).

I can make an AC3 available through my firewall; I have a unit that I use for software development. Send me email (PM) and I'll send you address information.

Just a suggestion though; opening telnet ports are going to block anyone using AquaNotes (only 1 telnet connection allowed at 1 time); you might want to consider parsing out html.

I can beta test for you!
we are also developing game for iPod
will you be submitting the app to iTunes store?

Okay, i've got it fully working for the first version. Still working on details and if anyone has feature suggestions, let me know!

Here are some screenshots :)

Did you get you unit; I'm going to shut down the telnet port.

Hey Ken,

Yup got it, thanks a lot for your help!

Those who want to test it, I need a device id (found in iTunes for your iPhone/iPod touch) and e-mail address from you. You can PM me these.

I have my AC III open to the world via HTTP - If you need to do some testing, I'll be glad to provide the URL.
Cheers!

Funny thing, I actually started writing an app a while ago with some very similar choices in interface - glad to see that people care about a well designed application for our Aquacontrollers!
