is 250 hqi too much at 11 inches

I am putting a nano together and want to know if 250 watt at a depth of around 12 inches too much light for some clams?

not too much, but they will definitely have to be acclimated to the light shock

No way- I have clams less than that under my 250's with no worries. It doesnt matter if its a 1o gallon or 1000 gallon, they are still X inches under the light.
