I have 3x-400w MH in my set up
I had one for 3 weeks now and he keeps moving in the tank. He has not opened 100% since I got him. The last 4 days he is MIA and I dont want to tear my tank apart looking for him(PITA). He leaves this slim ring behind? Is this normal?

If he dies will it crash my tank if I dont get him out?
I have a 220gal filled with rock so it might be hard to find him

I am down grading my lights soon but not for at least a week

what should I do?

Did you acclimate it to your lights? That is a lot of light, not enough for it to handle, but would be too much all at once.

As Todd said, acclimation is key. The only light too bright for a BTA is a light brighter than the tropical sun :eek2:
