Is a Nova Extreme T-5 4-54 watts enough for a claim?

I just got a Nova Extreme T-5 4-54 watts for my 55 gal tank and I wanted to know if that was bright enough for a claim and if so which kind would be the happiest?

You mean an insurance claim if it catches fire? or perhaps you ment to say clam? Perhaps if you keep a lowerlight clam you will be ok.

Sounds fine for all of them to me, maybe maximas and croceas only in the top half if you're worried.
Check the T5 only tank thread in the SPS forum, well here:

1st page had links to some of the older threads too, anyway, take a look and then say that you can't keep high light clams under T5s () : )
Europeans have been doing it for years..and they love their clams over there ; )

Can you tell I'm excited about the lights? I thought about it after I sent it and told my daughter what I did. She just shook her head. I just wasn't going to show myself again. But of course I meant clam.

Just be sure you've mastered CA/Alk stabilty before you try...my tank goes from 12 to 7/8 alk and 450ish to sub-400 over night if I don't stay on top of it..plenty enough swing to tick off some corals/clams.

yes, if you don't have individual reflectors (one over each bulb), then you are not getting the amount of light that people assume with t-5 bulbs.
