Is Cycle started??

Hello,

I put my live rock 5 days ago... We notice a lot of stomatella snails, some fire worms... So good live rock!
Now here's the question: I just tested nitrites and nitrates and nitrites = 0, whereas nitrates = 1. How should I interprete this reading? Is my cycle going well? Am I missing something here? Does this mean that when my nitrates read 0, I will be good to go with my 1st fish??

Thanks for your help...

:D

I think you should test for ammonia. When that's been zero for a few weeks or so, you should be able to add a cleanup crew, and then think about a fish. With live rock, there's no guarantee about when and if ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate show up.
