Is distiller water ok for tipoff??

or does it have to be triple distiller?? I'm out of ro/di and every place that sales it is closed. It would only be about three gallons to five.

Distilled.......Or Steam Distilled will work just fine. Like the 1 gallon jugs from Walmart. I would still use the RO/DI as soon as you can

There is a small possibility that copper tubing was used during distillation process. Copper is toxic to the corals!. I would only use distilled water if I know the source or if I just have to use it. Few gallons should be O.K. though.

I used Distilled water at my office for my BioCube for a year, until I bought a RO/DI system. I have a RO/DI system at home, but I got tired of dragging around 5 gallon containers. Distilled water worked just fine.

I have never used it just because I always wondered if any copper was used in the condenser part of the process.
