Is green algae okay on crocea shell?

One of my croceas has developed a thick (kind of slimey) green algae on the upper half of the shell. It could be cyana - although every other time I've had that in the tank it has been red or black. This looks almost like thick phyto. Otherwise, the clam seems okay.

Should I try to suction it off or leave it alone?

Thanks!

might be best to remove it ( if easy enough ) to prevent unwanted attention from algae eaters.
