Is Homer okay?

I noticed this 1-2 weeks ago. He still eats like a pig, perfect match for his name. Is Homer going to be okay?

It could be a bacterial infection or constipation, make sure he isn't gorging himself first.

I cut feeding by 50% since 3 days ago and I don't see much difference. If it's a bacteria infection, how can I cure it and would it be contagious to my other fish?

Holy fat blenny! now that that's out of the way...

What are you feeding him? Blennies need a balanced diet that consists mainly of plant matter (well most species do). If he is consuming to much fat or proteins he could be backed up. Their digestive track is not really use to breaking down large amounts of animal proteins quickly.

I have an orange spot blenny that had a pot belly for a while, until I began limiting his food to mostly algae grazing pellets. He then slicked down and began looking healthy again.

If he is still eating normally I wouldn't be concerned that this is a bacterial infection. However, this doesn't mean that it couldn't turn into something later down the road.

Hope your fat fellow remains in good health!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I usually try giving out different type of pellets/flakes every day. Most of them are protein based however. I still keep dried seaweed on clips all the time which he also munches like crazy. I will increase green-based foods and limit meaty ones and observe any changes in the next couple of weeks.
