i was told to move it to a high flow high light area, witch i did ,all the slime blew of and hasnt returned ,but it is getting covered in algea,it has never extended its tentacles,polyps.ect.
it just looks like its shrinking, deflating no visable injuries

If it sat for a week with the mucus tunic stuck on it, the coral will be very stressed. Keep it in that high flow area and keep your tank params in good shape, and you have a good chance of recovery. Note that a couple months looking like that isnt unusual; if it starts to fall apart or get web-like white patches growing on it though, probably best to pull it out so it doesnt foul the tank.

the leather does not look that bad to me even though there are no pollups out it still seems to be sturdy not laying over they can even get like a glossy mucas on them so keep a indirect flow current on him but i personally would not keep him in a high flow rate i have found that they do not like direct flow at least mine don't

It is not dead for sure. Still looks like its in one solid piece. The base is thick and solidly attached to the rock which is good. Don't have to much light or flow directly on it and keep adequate levels of trace elements and iodine. I think all in all your ok!
