It was in a hole for a while with the tentacles and disc extending out from it. Last week and began to move under the bottom of the rock came up through a crevice about 4" away and now it looks like this. I'm just trying to figure out whats up with it.

This in a 55g with dual 150w mh. Its about halfway down and was in the same spot for about 2months

Yeah, that's definitely splitting. My Roses looked exactly like that while they were splitting. Congratulations!

guess i just got one with some sloth genes. Sure is taking a long time. This is day 3 of it being split up to that point.

Im not sure if its splitting.Never seen one do it this way, please understand, this isnt the way they split.

You just can never tell what will happen at times with these critters. My GBTA was in the process of splitting over a year ago, there was just a small thread holding it together at one point and I thought it was a done deal. Strangely, it decided to put itself back together. A couple of months ago it did finally split and took its time about it. A few weeks after that, the clone split as well, now I have three. I've read many posts where folks have had theirs split literally overnight with little warning or doodling around.

Your photo is a bit different with two distinct feet and an intact disc. Usually the split starts at the disc, it will tear to the mouth and complete the split that way. Keep us posted as to what happens, will be interesting.

Mine started with the foot first aswell, and then one of the other foot came lose from the rock and the anemone decided it shouldnt split, now its 1 anemone with 2 foots hehe, after the new arivals i needed to swich some rocks and i lost track of her, so she looks pretty normal hehe

yep still no split. As long as its healthy i don't care if it ever splits. Its mouth is closed tight and has good color so im content.

I once know of a person who's very large GBTA had three distinct foot sections. Unfortunately that nem died before a good picture was taken (that I know of), but it is possible for multiple feet to exist.

Agreed, they tend to split mouth first - not foot first.
