Update..The two clowns are living peacefully in the same tank and do come together frequently but still choose to stay at opposite sides of the tank most of the time. What I thought was the male does shake and dance in front of the female just about every time they come in contact. I'm going to leave them together but I think it's going to be a very long courtship and they may never pair up...Side note didn't know this was even happening but my Black Chromis hatched about 100 little fry....sadly all eaten up in 3-4 days, now they have another batch of eggs on the go...

That they don't fight is already a very good sign. I would put the flowerpot in the center of the tank to get them together. Even better would be adding a BTA.

so how big should I wait for the first maroon to get before introducing a second? I have a lightning maroon that grew to about 1.5 inches now. Still a baby. just curious to when I can introduce another. This is inside a 100gal

I'll try the QT trick and separate the two.
