Is it OK for sand to settle on my Trach?

My brain gets covered with sand, not completely but dusted. I go in and blow it off. Is it OK ?

I wondered the same thing not too long ago. It is not good for sand to be on your corals. That's why the sugar fine sand is such a pain. You need to adjust your powerheads so that you get very minimal sand blown.
It should NOT look like this:

no its not they use a slime web to remove stuff and feed but allot of sand they cannot use a sea squirt or turkey baster and gently i mean very gently blow the sand off.and consider finding new location.
