I think that you might have to do them in even numbers but im not sure .... i remember reading something on the internet about it so im sure google would help
Yeah - even if it doesn't happen right away - once they do pair up - if they ever decide to start spawning - that's when they'd really go after the other one...
It's been done - don't get me wrong - I'm sure people have successfully kept 3 - I just wouldn't recommend it. Especially with a 10g... They would probably fight for space.
In a 10 gallon 3 would be a very bad idea. As for 2, what kind are you thinking about getting? Even 2 might be too much for a 10 gallon depending on which clowns.
10 gallons isnt much room for 3 clowns. ive kept groups of 3 false perculas but they were in a 50 gallon system. like toddrtrex states above even keeping 2 full size clowns of almost anykind in a 10 gallon would be stretching it eventually
