For a clarkii clown to host a rock anemone? I have a pair that are only about an inch or so big and the smaller of the two has slowly been trying to get close to the anemone for last couple weeks. Today I found him laying in it.

The anemone is also located in the back of the tank.

Will try tonight but the anemone is in the back of the tank. The only reason I know is when lights are off and I can see reflection off the back glass.

A clownfish may try to be hosted by just about anything, but that is definitely not a natural host anemone. It is unusual for any clownfish to try to be hosted by a rock anemone.

Best pictures I could get. As mentioned before the anemone is in the back of the tank, and most of pictured are actually off of reflection of back glass.

This morning I checked on them again, clownfish still in anemone, but anemone is starting to move closer to the front of tank via the "cave" you can see in two of the pictures.

That's pretty cool, I guess my only advise would be to look out for each of them and look for any ill effects judging that they aren't natural pairs and I'm not sure if the rock anemone is a natural host of any clown fish. Good luck though!
