I have a 125g with primarily softies and a few lps coral. The sand bed in the tank is 24 inches from the light. The light is a Current USA 3x150 watt 14k de metal halide. I was wondering if this lighting is sufficient for anemones and if there were ones i should stay away from. Thanks Matt.

That lighting should be sufficient for H. crispa and H. malu. IME, those two species are not that demanding in terms of light requirements.

you will be ok with the light i have a rbta. it has been in my tank for 5months and has grown twice its original size. i have 2 160watt vho bulbs total 320watts

IMO you can keep anything you want in that tank with those lights.Ive seen people keep HEALTHY BTA's in 24inch tall tank with PC lighting. People make more of a big deal than i believe necessary. Keep on top of your water quality and you'll be fine.

+1 a lot can be very happy just under a set of 150mh's.. the most light demanding SPS would be better off under 250mh's. 400+'s are good if you want an astronomical electric bill and want to simulate life living on a planet in orbit around Arcturus. BTW scale wise, Arcturus vs our sun is like putting a grapefruit next to a green pea. :)
