Is LTA Healthy?

Hi Guys,

I had a buddy who bought an LTA and then realized he didn't have the light to support it (smart I know) so he gave it to me. I am extremely new to anemones so I don't really know if he is healthy or not and I can't seem to find information so I figured I would ask you guys.

He has been in the aquarium for around 5 days after being temp and drip acclimated (about 2 hours). I placed him in a spot with very little to no flow and so far he has mostly stayed put in that corner. What concerns me is that he has hid his foot under a rock but doesn't seem to be burying it or even attempting to stick to anything.

The foot is slippery and has kind of a stringy white substance on the outside of it. The mouth stays closed and the tentacles react to contact. I haven't attempted to feed it yet (doing that tomorrow). He doesn't smell so it doesn't look like hes rotting.

Due to the horror stories i've heard regarding these I want to make sure that he is healthy or any signs that he may be doing poorly.

I attached some pictures so someone can tell me if he looks off.

Aquarium Parameters:
75 Gallon Mixed Reef
1.024 SG
6 Lamp T5 HO Lighting
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrites
5 or less Nitrates

Thanks for all your help!

It looks healthy, I'd dig a hole around the bottom of the rock right where it is and stick it's foot in that hole down to the bottom of the tank. Once you get it's foot in that hole push the sand back around it's foot. This should help it in getting the foot planted. Sometimes these LTA's are a PITA to get to plant their foot. Also don't be surprised if it starts moving around a lot. I wouldn't feed it until it's foot is planted, the lights are all they really need to live on.
