is montuipora setosa a fast grower?

Mine began very slowly but perhaps my constantly moving it around could have attributed to that. Once I found a suitable place for it [in my case, on the bottom] and it settled in, it began to take off. Grows pretty quickly for me now.

I have mine midway in tank w/ medium light works best. Not as fast grower as my Monti Caps but still good growth.

i always thought it was a slower grower compared to other monti's, once reason it tends to cost more than others as well.

thanks for the responses

would u say that it likes the same light requirements as a regular montipora?
thanks again guys

All my montiporas grows fast except setosa. In about five months its just covered it's plug.

Mine has gone from 1/4" nub to about 3" in all directions in slightly less than 1 year. I consider it a "medium speed growth" coral.

Setosa, is one of the slower growing corals, location in each system will also dictate coral growth, I found lower in the system the better. IMO

Mine grows pretty fast IMO for me. I started with a nub last December and now it is a bit larger than a golf ball, about 10 months later. Mine is placed very low in the tank.
