Is my Anemone Dead?

I believe this poor anemone is dead but I wanted to get an opinion. It continues to change some but I think it is gone. No3 15, No2 0, pH 8.2, KH 13, Ca 420, temp 75, 450 gallon system, 400W MH X4

If its not dead it's close. How long have you had this guy? Did you change anything in your tank before this happened?

actually he has just been in the tank for about 1.5 weeks, a tomato clown traumatized him i think and i moved him to the sump so he would not be bothered.... he has never taken any food and only looked good for about 2 days... this has been ongoing for about 3 days now, almost always like this but sometimes the tentacles will swell.... not sure what to do other than wait....

I would give him a little while longer to try to adapt. The reason he is so stressed is because its a new tank and he could havd done without the tomato for a week or two. I think your right about the trauma isue. Some times its worse to have a clown host so fast because they are too rough on them.

I was told to smell them and if they smell bad then their probable toast.

I have yet to see on recover from that status, if you decide to leave it in the tank: move it into a tupperware dish now incase it starts "melting".

i put it in the tupperware as suggested, and after about 4 hours it was a cloudy mess, and pieces of the organism were floating around.... didn't make it...im very dissapointed...
