well i know how you guys said that sometimes the anemone likes to duck into a cave to hide out. well, my anemone did that for about 3-4 weeks, and i noticed it was starting to look really crappy(because i couldnt feed it and it wasnt getting light) well i moved the rock around to get it into the light and started feeding it, it started looknig much better and hung out in the light for about a week, tonight the stupid thing ducked into a cave again!!! arg!

they'll move around unil they are 'happy' try varying flow in the location you put it, or increase/decrease light

I've had one for a year now that was healthy as could be. However, it moved into a dark area (actually lost it for 2-3 weeks) and has now emerged on the back glass of the aquarium. It looks small and unhealthy at present, but I figure it may pull through. I will try to feed it, although that's hard to do in its present state and location.

I've had them do that to me before too, ive had many anenomes, and occasionally they will get retarded and hide, hence depriving themselves of water flow, light and food. They can move, but they dont have brains remember... kinda like a old person in a car... if they do it for too long or get too small ill put them in my small tank and nurse them back... Anenome nursing home! Esp. the haitian anenomes, and some pink tip ones, exhibit this behavior

My hider is now on the back tank glass ... not an ideal location for light, but better than whereever it was. I believe it ate some of what I fed it yesterday, so I hope it perks up a little bit soon.
