2 weeks ago my closed loop pump failed for a week and tank was running on pretty low slow, followed by adding a vortech which upped the flow a lot. couple of days later my anemone moved to the middle of the rockwork and I thought it was just bothered by the flow.
However A small indentation started to appear:

indentation increased and anemone started stretching:

a second smaller foot appeared (harder to see because of the angle)

I am not sure it is hard to tell from the pictures. One made me think maybe but I really could not tell. Is the one you think is the original any smaller, from my experience the original/clone will both be smaller. The area where the mouth was also would be good spot to try and look usually that is where you will significant signs that it split. Also it looks like you anemone could use some food/light. What type of lighting are you using and you feed it anything?

thanks for the info. As for needing more light I don't think it's the issue, I got 2 anemones of this colour that withing 2-3 weeks bleached sevelry. The 1st one even lost it's volume and looked very bad, I had to force feed it for few weeks and their makeing a slow come back. Lighting is
MH
250W 1 22k Giesemann Center of tank
150 W 2 14 K on rt and left
1 85 W T5 14 K
2 54 W actinic T5s

Both are fed 2 times a week (small pieces of shrimp or fish) soaked in fish vitamin and some coral food
they both arrived looking like this:

the first one reached this stage before starting to improve

Second one did not lose volume but lost colours.
any further info anyone can give on the split or colour loss would be greatly appreciated.
