Is my clown a killer?

Hi, I just started my tank about 6 weeks ago, and I have a couple of hermit crabs in there and 1 suddenly died and the other is sitting in 1 spot for a couple of days, They were fine until I got my clownfish he is a tomato and yellow stripe, Do you think he is attacking when I turn off the light? he does not have a anemone.

I'm not sure that clowns attack crabs...but it certainly could be, I guess.

By tomato do you mean maroon? As far as I know there is no tomato clown with yellow stripes.

oops sorry that is what I meant, also he seems agressive he goes to the bottom of the tank down to the sand and shakes his tail to stir it up, why do u think he does this? Sorry I never had clowns before.

A lot of peoples clowns dig up sand at the bottom, it's just part of their natural behavior, i guess.
